Saturday was the Kayak Fishing Classics tournament which was held at Whiskey Joe's over by Courtney Campbell. First place I launched the kayak I picked up a 25 inch red.

I relocated to my second spot and got on a real good topwater trout bite with the overcast morning. Ended up getting 7 trout between 22 1/2 and 24 1/2 up to 5 lbs. Good to see much more of the bigger trout all around.

The Biggest one took down the Spook pretty deep so I took him home for the lady...

It wasn't the best turn out but still ended up winning 1st place slam and getting a good amount of prizes. Fly rod, 4 piece bait caster rod, cooler flies and such.
Red fishing has been getting better lately I'm sure everyone's ready for the warm weather!
My client Ed with a nice slot red.

Some Reds messing around in the Mud boat. They have been eating CAL jigs real well lately.
