PALM BEACH — A boat driver was found wandering in some Palm Beacher's backyard before dawn this morning after his boat plowed into the south jetty of the Lake Worth Inlet, according to Palm Beach Police.
And his female passenger was plucked from the water by a passing boater who dropped her off at the Riviera Beach Marina, Palm Beach Police report.
The man, 40-year-old Lance Branford of Riviera Beach, was spotted near East Inlet Road after someone called to report a suspicious person in the area, according to information distributed by the police department.
Investigators determined Branford was driving a 31-foot boat that had crashed into the jetty, ejecting both Branford and his unidentified female passenger.
The passenger was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center. Branford went to Good Samaritan. Neither were seriously injured.
